So, we are delighted to have our first Tenx9 of 2014 at 7.30pm in the Black Box (18-22 Hill Street, Belfast). The event page is here.

We will be welcoming some folks from the 4 Corners Festival. For those who don't know what Tenx9 is, it's a monthly storytelling evening in Belfast that gives nine people up to ten minutes each to tell a real story from their lives. Each month has a theme, and for January, the theme is 'Starting'. So, we will look forward to hearing true stories about various startings from your life.

Tenx9 is a night for people telling real stories. If you wish to tell a story, be in touch with us as we've got some guidelines and tips for you. It's a great evening - and we are always delighted (and impressed) with folks who tell a story for their first time. The crowd is warm and kind - and no story goes beyond ten minutes - we ring a bell!

A few words about content of stories - We always say that it's never a night for trying to get people to agree with you, join you, argue with you, be coverted, or join up to your group. We aren't prudes, we don't mind strong language, but make sure it's well written, as opposed to lazy. Tenx9 is simply a night for real people telling real stories. It's a wonderful, warm and rich night of human storytelling.

Come along! We never put people on the spot - only those who wish to tell a story do. We usually have about 45-55 people, and the folks at the Black Box are just lovely.

If you wish to tell a story, get in touch with us via the contact page.
